Don’t be sad. . . these people lived to entertain us. Yeah, it would be nice to see these folks in person, but the thing is, if you got to see them in person or not, they were there, and we get to enjoy (In-joy!) them here. They gave a lot to entertain us, even though they are dead to this world, they leave a legacy behind, and we get to enjoy it, live or otherwise. . . sure it would have been nice to see them live, but we get to see them, live or not, right here, right now. .

you’re lucky. because you’re young enough to enjoy the old tunes, like this one. As well as new music. We’re the lucky few who appreciate this music, and I’m glad we are able to do so.

Shred guitar or shredding is a lead electric guitar playing style, based on fast guitar solos. Shred guitar is associated with sweep-picked arpeggios, diminished and harmonic minor scales, finger-tapping and whammy-bar abuse. Not the shredding of your skin on your fingers from playing a lot.

A “shredder” is referring to the shredding of the finger’s skin from playing a lot(?)
