A resolution to impeach Cheney has been submitted, not just being talked about now. How do you feel about that?

great, maybe the public will learn the truth. not likely, nothing will come of it.

  4. Submitted is a long, long way from actually becoming reality. Do you know how many bills get submitted every year and how many actually make it to a full House debate. More than 90% of bills die in committee or before they reach committee. I think this will probably be among those 90%.

I feel that it is a mistake to launch an impeachment hearing without first investigating every aspect of this administration. I would rather they bring the whole list of charges against the criminals rather than just one or two.

  6. Bush and Cheney should both be impeached

who cares really, he’ll be gone in 18 months. . . but I do find it funny the nutty far right is up in arms about doing this during our war on terror considering it’s just taking a play from their playbook with Clinton, only the charges are far more serious. . . I guess to each their own, maybe some day we’ll elect an administration that may focus on the American people!

    Wonderful.

The more a raving lunatic like Kucinich becomes the standardbearer of the Democrat Party, the more seats they lose in 2008.

  9. It is about 4 years late. But I certainly support it.

  10. This resolution was submitted by Dennis Kucinich. Wanna be presidential candidate, believer in the 9/11 conspiracy. No credibilitiy whatsoever.

  11. Well. . . if nothing else the new Democratic Congress has shown us how to write and submit Resolutions. I think this Congress and everything it has done is a joke. Thanks

  13. More political posturing. It will go no where. I’m still waiting for the Dem’s aggressive legislative agenda they promised the people who elected them last November. All I’ve seen so far is immature political ankle-biting. . .

  14. Couldn’t happen to a better sc*m!

No, I don’t need to respect anyone just because of the title that they may have. They need to EARN that respect and Chaney has not even came close to it!

too little, too late. . .

I commend Kuczinich (sp?) for stepping up and having the courage to do something, but its a bit too late. . .

The impeachment will never happen anyway, its probably just a media event to gain some press attention. But, its the right thing to do in any case, so I am still glad the resolution was filed.

If this country had anything but complacency and apathy, we should of assassinated Bush and Cheney for gross misconduct in office. . . Used to be that was the price you paid, but we just don’t care anymore. . .

  17. Every one in the Bush administration should be impeached for gross abuse of power and war crimes!

I doubt there will be valid proof of an impeachable offense, but, uou never know.

  19. It’s a minor political ploy that no one, including the Dems, take seriously.

Finally! Someone who has “put up” and doesn’t have to “shut up”. I feel great about that! Now, maybe some of the garbage the Repubs don’t want to see and deal with, will come out!!!

Actually I would like to see Cheney and Bush left alone. They don’t have that much time left and they are good for at least a few more gaffs and scandals. Impeaching either of them would take people’s minds from the scandals and we don’t want that right now. We need a landslide for the Democrats in 2008.

I laugh at such pointless gestures

Impeachment cannot happen unless a crime is committed first.

How many trees had to die for those elective and unnecessary impeachment documents? Liberal hypocrisy again.

  26. I’m in favor of impeaching him and the whole bush admin. cheney is a criminal. Hunting with no bird stamp is a criminal act and proof of criminal behavior.

I don’t think there’s enough evidence to warrant this really dramatic move. And I think a Presidential candidate, no matter how unlikely his victory, shouldn’t be taking the lead on something like this because it’s very obviously politically motivated.

  30. typical political junk to get people to focus on the fact that
liberal democrats dont have any new ideas,or plans.
just the same old “lets get even ” routine. . the dead no answer party is doing all it knows how to do. nothing . . . it wont help this country or our people overseas. times a waste’n congress. when these people tire of reading there own headlines and running for president, mabey they will try and do something for the country, for a nice change.

  33. Long over due but a very wise move.

I especially like having the least esteemed Congressman submit the articles.

Cheney will be Impeached and very likely convicted in the Senate.

The GOP will sacrifice Cheney to save the party face.

    Go Go Go Team Red.

  34. Yes but from the little i heard about the charges, i don’t think they strike hard enough.

High level shenannigans are often so subtle it’s hard to pin down. Almost impossible to have any physical proof as most thier illegal activities were implied or double entandres, or subliminal.

  35. are we ever going to get over this WMD thing? this impeachment will never fly. I did not read everything but that’s what it looks like, he lied about WMDs to get congress to allow the US to use military force against Iraq. The Uber Lib Kucinich is exasperating. Illegal War. Where are the WMDs? blah blah blah. boo hoo boo hoo.

About time, would be nice to add these theives names to the impeachment list from our administrations, at least will be a step in the right direction toward some kind of responsibility for all G-dubs axis of evil administration having to explain & abide by their oathes to office. May be too little too late, but its a start.

  38. Cheney is so incompetent, abusive and arrogant that it is a good thing to bring him down to earth a little bit!

    Two should be impeached–one should
    be fired –without a government
retirement. Rumsfield should go to jail.

  41. It’s a start! But, Henry VIII does make a good point! *sm*

  42. It is ridiculous. I would like to see some actual evidence he commit a crime. No one should be impeached based on pure speculation.

  43. It is about 4 years late. He and Bush have committed blatant crimes right under our noses and we have done nothing but whine about it. I say put both of them in a firing squad and let Cincy Shehan be there to fire the first shot.
